REFERENCE

Things teams ask before installing.

Straight answers. No support tickets required.

01 · Trust

01.1

Will you train on my code?

We can't — your code is never uploaded to our infra, so there is nothing to train on. The agents you run (Claude, Kimi, Codex, Gemini) follow their own providers' policies, which is why you bring your own API keys. Gridstorn never proxies or stores those keys.

01.2

What happens to my code and data?

Your code never leaves your machine. Workspace state lives in ~/.gridstorn/ locally. With Pro, the cloud syncs only your settings — layouts, keybindings, base-branch rules — plus anonymous usage metrics that shape the roadmap. Source files, diffs, and agent conversations stay on your laptop. Always. Transport is HTTPS; account data is encrypted at the database layer.

02 · Setup

02.1

Do I bring my own API keys?

Yes. Gridstorn is a workspace, not a model provider. Bring your keys for Claude (Anthropic), Kimi (Moonshot), Codex, Gemini, or any CLI agent installed on your PATH. Gridstorn auto-detects them at launch and never proxies or stores keys.

02.2

How does snapshot review work?

Press Cmd+Shift+R to pin the current workspace state. Gridstorn captures a snapshot of your file tree and git state. As you work, you can diff against that snapshot at any time — perfect for reviewing your own changes before committing or sharing with an agent.

03 · Billing

03.1

How does billing & cancellation work?

Gridstorn is a subscription — Pro is $16/month or $156/year (saves ~19%). Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial; if you don't cancel before it ends, the subscription auto-renews on your cycle. Cancel anytime from settings — access stays active to the end of the current period. No early-termination fees, no questions. Your local files in ~/.gridstorn/ stay on your machine forever.

03.2

Is there a team plan?

Yes — Team is volume licensing for 5+ developers under a single annual invoice. Gridstorn is built and maintained by a solo founder, so you get a direct line to me for support, feedback, and roadmap input. Email hello@gridstorn.dev to set it up.

04 · Philosophy

04.1

Why a desktop app — I already use tmux.

Tmux gives you panes. Gridstorn gives you panes that talk to each other — Claude's plan auto-flows into Kimi with the analysis, file pins, and context bundle attached. You keep your CLIs, you lose the copy-paste. Plus you get real PTY terminals (Tauri 2 + Rust + xterm WebGL), native file access, and snapshot review without leaving the workspace.

04.2

Does it run on Linux or Windows?

macOS today (Apple silicon + Intel). Linux and Windows builds are next on the roadmap. Tauri 2 makes the cross-platform port straightforward — no architecture rewrites, just packaging and testing.

Built solo by Gabriel in Buenos Aires. Reply guaranteed at hi@gridstorn.dev.
